Hills Beach in Biddeford is a 500 yard stretch of sandy beach on the north side of Biddeford Pool near the mouth of the Saco River. Sand dunes lead down to this quiet beach which is protected by the breakwater on the north side and the curve of the cove to the south.
Parking is very limited along the streets of the neighborhood near the beach. There are no lifeguards on duty. Access to Hills Beach is at the entrance to the University of New England.
There is a local restaurant called Buffleheads which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kayaking from Hills Beach will bring you around Stage Island and Wood Island Lighthouse or a lazy paddle down the Saco River.
